Used brake plate with everything you need for a thumb bar left hand model; 4601, 5601, or 6601. Can be used with push-button models with the addition of the release trigger, part number 21869. This is the flat bearing shim used in the Ambassadeur CS Rocket reels. Unlike the concave shim used in the C3 and C4 models, this one puts less pressure on the bearing race allowing the spool to spin better.

Replacement pinion bearing for ABU Cardinal 3/33 and Zebco Cardinal 3 models.

This is TSI 321. If you know, you know. If you don’t, buy some! Very well deserved of the hype surrounding it. It works best with spool bearings, level winds, and line rollers on spinning reels. Comes in a 15mL dropper bottle.

High viscosity oil for use in support bearings and level wind mechanisms in baitcast and spinning reels. We do not recommend this being used in synchronized level wind reels like Ambassadeurs and larger Shimano Calcutta models. This oil lasts a long time and doesn't emulsify in water. The reel may feel stiff until it is fully run in, then it transitions to a much smoother and connected feeling. Comes in a 15mL dropper bottle.

This is a marine-spec grease specifically for metal to metal contact surfaces, fortified with molybdenum. Microscopic pores in the metal are filled, creating a slick surface resulting in utmost refined smoothness. Molybdenum may cause slight discoloration, but if you’re looking, you ain’t fishing. A little goes a very long way. Apply lightly until the metal has a slight haze. Comes in a 5g jar.

Carbon drag washers for the ABU Cardinal 3 and other variants such as the ABU Cardinal 33, Zebco Cardinal 3, and newer reproduction Daysprout Cardinal 3/33 reels. These replace the worn bakelite washers. Ultralight grease recommended.

This is a replacement for the Abu 5229 o-ring. If yours is broken or dry rotted, this is what you need to give your spool tension cap a smooth action that will stay in place under use.

These are a great alternative to the Abu 4490 E-clip. Easier to install and remove without fear of getting lost. Additionally, they put less friction on the cog wheel when used in place of the 4490 E-clip. These o-rings can be used to secure the spool pinion on the 1500C/2500C models and the pinion cup removed, creating less potential for friction. Sold in packs of 5.

Replace your worn or deformed pinion yoke. This is a dead stock original ABU part, no longer produced. It fits the 1500C, 2500C, and 3500C.

These are Carbontex replacements for the ABU 10271 and 3902 drag washers found in the small ABU Ambassadeur models 1500C, 2500C, and 3500C. They will also work with the thumb bar operated 1600CIAR, 2600CIAR, and 2600C Elite. Precision cut from 1mm Carbontex sheeting, they will give your drag a smooth startup and more bite at the top end.

For 1992 and up Abu Ambassadeur 4000-6000 C3 and C4 models. They are also compatible with the 1992-2000 Black Max, Pro Max, and other variants on that platform. Simply omit the base washer as it is occupied by the level wind idler gear in those models.

Some aftermarket bearings achieve impressive spin times by loosening tolerances — which makes for great content online, but tells you nothing about real-world performance. That extra slop translates directly to a compromised retrieve feel when it matters most.

The idea that "louder and faster on the bench" equals better on the water is a common misconception — and one we don't subscribe to. Ashlin uses NMB stainless bearings because they represent the gold standard in precision engineering: quiet, consistent, and smooth under load.

As for ceramics — they have their place, specifically in saltwater applications where harsh environmental conditions justify them. Beyond that, they're more marketing than merit.
